Studio 69 has several tools in place to deter scammers, but we also need your help.

As a general rule:

• Never go to a link someone sends you in a message.
• Never give out your phone number or other sensitive information.

There are several common tricks fraudsters use... 

A fraudster, spammer, or scammer is anyone who is trying to get sensitive information from you, mislead you into giving them money, or trick you into doing something to their benefit. Here are the tell-tale signs they're trying to scam you:

• They try to take the conversation elsewhere. For example:
  • They ask for your phone number, email address, or social media username.
  • They give you their phone number and ask you to text them.
  • They ask you to go to an external link.
• They use special characters and intentionally misspell words to avoid spam filters (for example: m@ss@ge).
• They're offering massage or other services and want you to book an appointment on another site.
• They ask you to buy gift cards and send them the code on the back.
• They pose as a Studio 69 administrator and ask you to perform an action or they threaten to report your account to scare you off the platform.
• They've done one or more of the above AND they have a profile photo that's too good to be true.

If someone messages you using any of these strategies, it's best to not respond and to block or report their profile right away.
